Clothing sizes
Hey , basically I've started buying more and more clothes online (not just lingerie ) like dresses and skirts and I just wondered if people knew the rough size guide from men's to women's.

I'm about 5"10 , waist is 30-32 and I normally wear 15"-16" shirts . And I want some new outfits ie school girl and bunny girl but I want the clothes to fit.

Much love

Not much help but

Sweetheart
The sad truth is that each and every manafacturer has different sizes and cut, some are liberal with material others not and cut to the line
All can say is find one that you trust and fits and try to stick with it
But then again it is nice to keep trying on lots of lovely clothes as you can always return them smile
Think you would look gorgeous in a bunny outfit and oh so sweet in a school girl outfit
so please keep on as your picture in those boots is so yummy

love
krissie xx

Surely the stuff that something's made of doesn't affect the size? Or it would be a bigger nightmare than it already is. Imagine if cotton shirts were a different size range to silk or nylon. Or jeans trousers rated different to cord.

Wow, it all just got worse, lol....

Here is my best advice and how I learned to find my correct sizes.

I started going to Thrift / 2nd Hand Stores. Goodwill, Salvation Army, Purple Heart etc. I would find a blouse or skirt, or what ever I was looking for. Find it at a good price, then buy it, take it home and try it on. If it fits, great. If not, you know if you need to go up or down in sizes. I did that until I figured out my sizes. I did that for bras, blouse, skirts, dresses, pants etc.
Now that I know my sizes, I STILL go to those Stores and look for bargains to buy for my wardrobe. I bought a nice new skirt there yesterday !

Yes, it might cost you a couple dollars in the beginning for something that does not fit, but if you shop right, it's not that much money. Plus, you can always donate the clothes that do not fit, back to the Store and write it off on your taxes. That's why I recommend the Thrift Stores.

Or, if the Stores have changing rooms you can always try them on in the Store. If you want to be discreet while doing that. You can find the women's clothes you want to try on, load them into your arms, then throw a men shirt over them, so it appears you have a arm load of mens clothes. Then go into the dressing room and try them on.

The only warning I have is it can be very addicting. rolleyes

Enjoy,

Try shopping like I do. Go to the store and ask the clerk for help. I have almost always had good luck doing this. Victoria's Secret has been very friendly and helpful with sizing. And its loads of fun!!!

I always go to a walmart or target to buy panties and buy a couple of different sizes to find ones that fit. So today I went to Victoria Secrets. I found a nice pair of lace, the sells girl came up and asked if she could help me. I told her yes I wanted to get this pair of panties, she asked what size and who they were for. I told her me, and I don't know size. She said ok, now the gift is for about what size lady. I said not a gift there for me. She said really and kinda laughed a little. I said yes really, She said ok but I don't know what size you'd wear, maybe a large. She went through a couple of drawers and said we don't have that pair in a large, and walked away. It was kinda fun and exciting to ask someone to help me. But then to get laughed at an blown off as a nut, made it kind of a bummer. But will do it again!

Victoria's Secret
That is a very surprising experience. Every time I have been to VS and told them I am buying for me, they have been very helpful (even in Utah) and most other TVs who comment seem to have had similar. After all, the sales staff are on commission, so they want to make a sale and, like supermarket checkout staff, they don't give a damn who buys what.

Most of the popular mail-order clothing catalogues in the UK have a page with a chart showing what bust, waist and hip measurements correspond to their regular sizes.

This has been a lifelong struggle for me. I have been losing weight and need to down size most things. My bra size has changed not at all. I am a 44/46 C/D size, again need to check fit. I think I will need to lose quite more weight before that changes. When I gained weight many years ago, my bust did not grow.

You can go to most online websites and get sizing charts. First are you a tall woman, over 5'11'. Are you a large or small body size. If you are larger or what is called a plus size. Google Woman's Plus. I am what is called a plus size, 5'11", and about 275 lbs. The size charts will give examples of what measurements you need to get. Bust - Waist - Hips are the most important. These measurements will give you a start.

Not all women's clothes fit the same, unfortunately. Women's clothes don't have the same as mans. Where as a man you could look for an inseam length, woman's come in, petite - average - tall. A shirt might have a neck size and arm length but women's are again, petite - average - tall. Don't expect all fashions available in all sizes.

Shoe sizes are a little better to size. I wear a mans 10 1/2 in my sneakers. Most women's 11 W fit well. Some shoes you will have to make concessions. In pumps a 11W will fit fine in the toes, but will be loose in the heel, causing you to walk out of them. A 10W might be tighter in the toe but fit well in the heel.

I used to buy my sexy lingerie from eBay where they post the sizes and you can make the order accordingly
