I was reminiscing about the first pair of sheer pantyhose I wore. I like to share my reminiscences with you.

I had been wearing tights, either my sister's or my own store-bought ones, since I was ten. (These were the thick "dancer's" tights, which are not to be confused with the sheer "tights" sold on the Continent, which we would consider "pantyhose." I just loved wearing them. So there I was, sitting on the toilet (or "loo" holding my first pair of pantyhose. The plastic package said "Sears Cling-a-lon Pantyhose, 100% Nylon." A picture of a pretty woman wearing pantyhose was on it. I eagerly opened the package and took out the pantyhose. I immediately noticed how much lighter they felt compared to my tights. There were instructions with diagrams, either on the card holding the pantyhose or outside the package, that showed how to put on the pantyhose. Although I've been wearing tights for years, I followed the instructions and it was a good thing I did, because I realized you had to be more gentle and slower in putting on pantyhose than you would with tights.

When I finally pulled the pantyhose's waist band over my waist, I stood and I was amazed at the airiness around my legs, as these pantyhose were much sheerer than my tights.
